TRUE NORTH VBS 2025 Child Registration

We're going on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers and glistening glaciers! As kids trek through the tundra, they'll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what's true in our wide world today. Pointing them towards Jesus, True North VBS shows them that he is a faithful friend we can always trust. He is our True North!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Students will start and end their day in mixed ages "crews” that are designed to foster friendships, new and old! From there they will then move around Sojourn in four different rotations:

-- Sing and Play Peak – A high-energy, all ages gathering with awesome music, silly skits, and memorable teaching.

-- Glacier Games – team-building activities (brilliantly disguised as wildly fun games) in which your child’s abilities will shine.

-- Imagination Station – new projects every day that go beyond coloring sheets to next level S.T.E.M. projects to stretch our minds and creativity!

-- Sticky Scriptures & Wild Bible Adventures – We'll memorize scripture, discuss, and experience stories that break out of the traditional mold to create interactive, memorable, and life-changing moments.

-- Compass Closing – Even more music and review the big idea

Families are invited to celebrate with us on the last day, Sunday for the VBS Celebration Service on Sunday August 20th, 10:00am-11:30am. We hope you'll stay to hear the songs they've learned, share their memory verse, and meet your child's new friends.

It’s our goal that VBS at Sojourn is your child’s favorite part of the summer! We love bringing our best to serve you and your family!

Health Policy & Emergency Information

We require that VBS kids monitor and abide by the following statements in order to ensure the safety of all who participate.

Symptoms: My child will not attend VBS if he/she has experienced or is experiencing any new or sudden onset symptoms within the last 24 hours before VBS starts, including: fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, sore throat, headache, diarrhea, muscle or body aches, open sores, new loss of taste or smell, nausea or vomiting, congestion or runny nose.

I, AS THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN, HEREBY CONSENT THAT MY CHILD, MAY PARTICPATE IN SOJOURN CAMPUS CHURCH VBS. I HEREBY AUTHORIZE ANY SOJOURN AGENT OR EMPLOYEE TO MAKE EMERGENCY MEDICAL DECISIONS FOR MY CHILD.

I UNDERSTAND AND HEREBY AGREE TO ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS WHICH MAY BE ENCOUNTERED ON ANY ACTIVITY, INCLUDING ACTIVITIES PRELIMINARY AND SUBSEQUENT THERETO. I DO HEREBY AGREE TO HOLD SOJOURN CAMPUS CHURCH AND ITS AGENTS AND EMPLOYEES HARMLESS FROM ANY LIABILITY, ACTIONS, CAUSES OF ACTIONS, CLAIMS, EXPENSES AND DAMAGES ON ACCOUNT OF INJURY TO MY CHILD OR PROPERTY, EVEN INJURY RESULTING IN DEATH, WHICH I NOW HAVE OR WHICH ARISE IN THE FUTURE IN CONNECTION WITH THE ACTIVITY OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY OTHER ASSCOCIATED ACTIVITIES.

I EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT THIS RELEASE, WAIVER, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT IS INTENDED TO BE BROAD AND INCLUSIVE AS PERMITTED BY LAW OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA AND THAT IF ANY PORTION THEREOF IS HELD INVALID, IT IS AGREED THAT THE BALANCE SHALL, NOTWITHSTANDING, CONTINUE IN FULL LEGAL FORCE AND EFFECT. THIS RELEASE CONTAINS THE ENTIRE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PARTIES HERETO AND THE TERMS OF THIS RELEASE ARE CONTRACTUAL AND NOT A MERE RECITAL.

SOJOURN CAMPUS CHURCH RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PHOTOGRAPH/VIDEO PARTICIPANTS IN SOJOURN VBS AND TO USE THESE PHOTOGRAPHS AND VIDEOS IN CHURCH PUBLICATIONS/VIDEOS AND ON THE WEBSITE.

I/my child agree to comply with the rules of conduct. Failure to comply with these expectations could result in my child being sent home at my own expense:

• Respect one another, staff and adult leaders • Respect property • No fighting, weapons, fireworks, explosives • No offensive or immodest clothing • Respect and comply with event schedules •Participation is expected • No cell phones or portable entertainment systems.
